Acadia takes two games against the struggling Dalhousie Team to improve to 3-1 on the season.

Sunday's game against Acadia Axemen was a heartbreaker for DAL Tigers, as they lost the lead late in an 11-8 defeat.


The game was tied at eight in the top of the seventh when Ben Gouthro doubled, scoring three runs. DAL Tigers collected 12 hits and Acadia Axemen had 12 in the high-scoring affair.


A single by Ryan Crocker put Acadia Axemen on the board in the top of the first.


DAL Tigers scored on a wild pitch, which helped DAL Tigers tie the game at one in the bottom of the first. DAL Tigers took the lead in the bottom of the third inning after Jack Karosas singled, and Jayden Park scored after tagging up, each scoring one run. DAL Tigers committed an error, which helped Acadia Axemen tie the game at three in the top of the fourth.


Acadia Axemen captured the lead, 7-3, in the top of the fifth when Seth Routledge drew a walk, scoring one run, Myles Wall singled, scoring two runs, and an error scored one run.


DAL Tigers took the lead, 8-7, in the bottom of the sixth thanks to singles by Jack Randall, and Nick Murray. Acadia Axemen made the score 11-8 in the top of the seventh after Garrett Culleton drew a walk, scoring one run, and Gouthro doubled, scoring three runs.


Brady Cox earned the win for Acadia Axemen. The right-handed pitcher allowed four hits and three runs (one earned) over two innings, striking out three and walking one. Kiwean Song took the loss for DAL Tigers. The pitcher went one and one-third innings, surrendering five runs (four earned) on six hits, striking out one and walking two. Jevon Gaudett started on the bump for DAL Tigers. The starter gave up six hits and six runs (four earned) over four and two-thirds innings, striking out five and walking three. Patrick Dobbin stepped on the hill first for Acadia Axemen. The starting pitcher surrendered seven hits and three runs (two earned) over four innings, striking out three and walking two.


DAL Tigers tallied 12 hits in the game. Jordan Rovet went 3-for-4 at the plate to lead DAL Tigers in hits. Karosas, Randall, Andrew Gilmour, and Murray each drove in one run for DAL Tigers. Aidan Rittenberg and Park each collected multiple hits for DAL Tigers. DAL Tigers turned one double play in the game.


Acadia Axemen piled up 12 hits in the game. Acadia Axemen's Austin Wall, the number eight hitter, led Acadia Axemen with three hits in four at bats. Gouthro went 1-for-1 at the plate and led the team with three runs batted in. Crocker and Isaiah Shulte-Bates each collected multiple hits for Acadia Axemen. Wall stole two bases. Acadia Axemen stole four bases in the game. Acadia Axemen turned one double play in the game.

Acadia Axemen scored six runs in the third inning, which helped them defeat DAL Tigers 8-2 on Sunday. an error scored one run, Seth Harquail singled, scoring one run, Seth Routledge singled, scoring two runs, Myles Wall was struck by a pitch, driving in a run, and Ewan Galloway induced Tyler Croteau to hit into a fielder's choice, but one run scored.


DAL Tigers were the first to get on the board in the second when Saturo Inoue induced Xander Brown to hit into a fielder's choice, but one run scored.


Inoue started the game for Acadia Axemen. The hurler surrendered eight hits and two runs over seven innings, striking out two and walking one. Galloway led things off on the bump for DAL Tigers. The hurler allowed eight hits and six runs (zero earned) over four innings, striking out five and walking one.


Acadia Axemen amassed 10 hits in the game. Harquail went 3-for-4 at the plate to lead Acadia Axemen in hits. Routledge and Croteau each drove in two runs for Acadia Axemen. Jack Barry collected two hits for Acadia Axemen in four at bats. Acadia Axemen turned one double play in the game. Brown and Jayden Park each drove in one run for DAL Tigers.
