UNB Reds improve to 4-2 after sweeping the STFX X-Men on Sunday.

Nick St Pierre showed a strong eye at the plate on Sunday, as St Pierre walked three times while leading UNB Reds to a 6-2 victory over STFX X-Men.
UNB Reds got on the board in the top of the first inning after St Pierre singled, scoring two runs, and Iain Warr grounded out, scoring one run.
UNB Reds extended their early lead with three runs in the top of the second thanks to RBI doubles by Connor Hill and Warr.
Ryan Galbraith started the game for UNB Reds. The starting pitcher gave up seven hits and two runs over seven innings, striking out five and walking one. Charlie Whitty began the game for STFX X-Men. The hurler allowed four hits and four runs (three earned) over one inning, striking out none and walking two.
Warr provided pop in the middle of the lineup, and led UNB Reds with three runs batted in. The first baseman went 2-for-4 on the day. Warr and Hill each collected two hits for UNB Reds. St Pierre led UNB Reds with three walks. Overall, the team had a strong eye at the plate, accumulating seven walks for the game. St Pierre and Hill each stole multiple bases for UNB Reds. UNB Reds ran wild on the base paths, tallying seven stolen bases for the game. UNB Reds were sure-handed in the field and didn't commit a single error. Alex Peacock had the most chances in the field with five.
Ryan MacDonald and Jonathan Tremblay were tough to handle back-to-back in the lineup, as each drove in one run for STFX X-Men. Ty Arsenault, Tremblay, and Kaelan Bakker each collected two hits for STFX X-Men.

Game 2 Recap, Provided by GameChanger: Cam Weatherbee drove in four runs on one hit to lead UNB Reds past STFX X-Men 18-16 on Sunday at Credit Union Field, Antigonish NS. In the fifth inning, Weatherbee homered to right field, scoring three runs.
Both offenses were strong at the plate as UNB Reds collected 14 hits and STFX X-Men eight in the high-scoring affair.
UNB Reds opened the scoring in the first after Ryder Penny induced Iain Warr to hit into a fielder's choice, but two runs scored.
A single by Connor Sheasgreen extended the UNB Reds lead to 4-0 in the top of the second inning.
UNB Reds added to their early lead in the top of the third inning after Matthew Dignam grounded out, and STFX X-Men committed an error, each scoring one run.
UNB Reds scored six runs on three hits in the top of the fifth inning. Nick St Pierre was struck by a pitch, driving in a run, Ian Humphrey doubled, scoring two runs, and Weatherbee homered to right field, scoring three runs.
STFX X-Men scored eight runs on four hits in the bottom of the fifth inning. A wild pitch scored one run, Kyle Moore singled, scoring one run, Kaelan Bakker drew a walk, scoring one run, Ty Arsenault singled, scoring one run, Blake Cooper singled, scoring two runs, Jonathan Tremblay drew a walk, scoring one run, and a wild pitch scored one run.
UNB Reds scored one run in the top of the sixth on a solo home run to left field by Connor Hill.
Cooper Fraser stepped on the bump first for UNB Reds. The starter surrendered zero hits and one run over two and two-thirds innings, striking out six and walking six. Penny opened the game for STFX X-Men. The starter allowed three hits and four runs (three earned) over two innings, striking out none and walking three. Hill, Kyle Kennedy, Aidan McBurnie, and Alex Peacock each appeared in relief for UNB Reds.
